The engine conversion was done in 1974 as a "one only" approval of the Avcon STC #SA125NW. N5928J's empty weight is 1297 lbs. Useful load is 303 lbs. If you have any qualms about flying at more than the 1600 lbs. max. gross weight, this airplane is not for you. It flies very well at much higher gross weights (over 2000#), but the FAA frowns on it.
